Today I surfaced a big rough walnut slab using a CHEAP 2.5” surfacing bit I found on Amazon… and honestly, I didn’t expect it to cut this clean. One pass and the walnut grain popped instantly. This slab was flattened on my 5x10 Chinese CNC router using a 2.5” fly cutter, and the results were way smoother than I expected for a budget bit.
