My son Kostya was walking to the supermarket with his friends when he suddenly found an unripe jackfruit on the road. He brought it home, and I immediately knew what I would cook. One of my favorite Filipino dishes — Ginataang Langka. When we lived on Samal Island in the Philippines, I absolutely loved this dish. But after moving to Russia, I really missed it because jackfruit is impossible to find there. So when Kostya brought this young jackfruit home, I was incredibly happy! I cleaned it, cut it, and cooked this delicious Filipino comfort food with coconut milk.
