As the interrogation of 26/11 mastermind Tahawwur Rana begins in India, two senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, Jaya Roy and Ashish Batra, are leading the 12-member National Investigation Agency (NIA) team tasked with uncovering the deeper layers of the Mumbai terror attacks conspiracy. Roy, a 2011 batch officer known for busting Jamtara's cybercrime network, and Batra, a 1997 batch officer and ex-Jharkhand Jaguar commander, also played key roles in Rana’s extradition from the US.
