Portuguese tries Slovak food in Bratislava

All the way from sunny Portugal, right into the cold depths of central Europe! We are in Slovakia, and trying to discover as much as we can in one week. Claudio travels to a true Siberian winter country for the first time, and he is really not into the freezing weather. But besides the cold and perpetual fog that seems to cover Bratislava at the moment, we still got to enjoy some of the best known sights of the capital city of Slovakia. We walked up the Bratislava Castle hill to look at the recently renovated structure, from where we hoped to get some stunning views. Everything was covered in fog, so we got none of that, but continued down to the old city instead. Walking down the historic streets, we ended up next to the cult socialist shopping mall Dunaj, which now serves a meeting hub of culture and creativity. We also couldn't miss seeing the Danube river, along with the UFO bridge above it, and right next to it- the Slovak National Gallery, where we got to throw some balls at a hamster. It's art. We liked it. And of course, Claudio got to tasting some Slovak delicacies, and we both agreed the legendary Chrumky are simply the best invention in the culinary world since humans learned how to make ice cream.
