He is excited about da Vinci® Surgical System's potential for safer, less traumatic surgeries, especially hysterectomies. He makes the point that wWhile laparoscopic and traditional open surgery can result in 100-200 CC's and 200-300 CC's of blood loss, respectively, robotic surgery typically sees only 30-40 CCs, thereby reducing fatigue and anemia.
