Taken from ABC Daytime soap operas off of WTEN (channel 10) in Albany, NY. Most of One Life to Live and General Hospital aired on this tape, with the tail end of All My Children to start it off. Also yes this tape was (like many of my videos) not in the best of quality, but that's storage for ya! This was the beginning of WTEN's tabloid era. The station kept the same on-air identity but began emphasizing on harder news stories, like all tabloids do. The station's goal was to become a "mini" version of WHDH in Boston, even getting down to using WHDH's voiceover (Scott Chapin) and their "News Station" slogan. It didn't catch on with viewers; when Gray Television came in as a lender for some of Young’s stations (as the latter went into bankruptcy), WTEN shedded some of the tabloid imaging and fixed house afterwards.
