This PC had become noisy, thermally inefficient, and frankly a bit dated. Instead of spending hundreds on a full platform upgrade, I set out to see what a simple £100 refresh could achieve. In this video I rebuild the system with improved airflow, quieter cooling, and a cleaner aesthetic to see whether a modest investment can meaningfully improve temperatures, noise, and overall usability. The refresh centres around moving the system into the NZXT H3 Flow case, paired with the NZXT T120 RGB CPU cooler and additional airflow from NZXT F140 RGB Duo case fans. The aim is simple: reduce noise, improve thermals, and give the system a modern look without replacing the core hardware. If you are considering upgrading your PC, it may be worth asking whether a targeted refresh like this could achieve most of the benefits for a fraction of the cost. What the video covers • Why the original system had become noisy and inefficient • The £100 refresh strategy • Rebuilding the system in the new case • Cooling and airflow improvements • Final results and impressions If you enjoy thoughtful PC builds, small-form-factor experimentation, and practical hardware improvements, consider subscribing for future builds and tests.
