GEORGE Floyd's girlfriend tearfully recalled the "sweet" moment when he asked to "pray with her" during their first meeting as she testified at Derek Chauvin's murder trial on Thursday. Courtney Ross, 45, reached out to touch the screen as she was shown a picture of the father-of-one after telling the jury of how they met at the Salvation Army and battled their opioid addiction together. Ross told the jury that Floyd had changed after his mother's death and was a "shell of himself." She also said that she had suspected that he started using again in March 2020, two months before his death, as his behaviour had changed.
