More than 60 people have been arrested after violent protests and looting followed the imprisonment of former President Jacob Zuma. That's according to the National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure. It began in KwaZulu-Natal when trucks were torched on Friday night and parts of the N3 toll route. Then it spread to Johannesburg and the M2 highway was shut after violence erupted in the city overnight. Police have confirmed at least one death - an investigation is underway after the shooting of a 40 year old man. Various business groups have condemned the violence and have highlighted the fact that the N3 is crucial for the movement of goods from the Durban port to Gauteng and other parts of the country. To discuss we're joined by the N3 Route's Operations Manager, Thania Dhoorga. We're also joined by the Secretary General of the Democratic Transport and Logistics Workers Union, Vusi Mgazi.
