Hiking 2,700 Miles on The Pacific Crest Trail - ALL THE WAY THRU

The Pacific Crest Trail was the most impactful and incredible adventure of my life. I’m uploading this film on the 1-year anniversary of starting the trail, and there still isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t think about my time out there. I filmed daily vlogs for Instagram throughout the trek, which meant I only ever recorded portrait videos. I wasn’t planning to make a film about my thru-hike, but after returning home, I felt compelled to tell the story in a more integrated fashion. So I cropped my portrait clips to make them fit YouTube a little better, but still ended up with black bars and a bit of quality loss. I just leaned into it and aimed to give the film a nostalgic feel with the grade and crop. I hope you enjoy the finished product regardless. It was fun to make, and I'm glad I'll forever have this to look back on. Thanks to my wife, Karis, for always supporting me on these long adventures. I love you.
