This is a Bajaj 3-wheeler from 1971. This is the first year that the Indian factories—that had been manufacturing Piaggio Apes under a lisencing agreement with the Italian company—attempted to make their own 3 wheelers. Since the Italian machinery was still in these factories, you can see that a majority of the vehicle still resembles the Italian variants. The major difference is the increased head room which is why there is a bubble on the roof. Although this roof bubble is ugly, as a 6ft tall person, the ride quality is greatly improved!
