It's time to upgrade my Radio Shack TRS-80 Color Computer 3 stock 6809E CPU with a Hitachi 63B09E CPU, then do a full recap to the CoCo 3 motherboard to future proof the machine! Let's go #SepTandy, I mean OctTandy! For those wondering how I removed the original 6809E CPU with ease, I used a lot of flux and my Hakko FR-301 desoldering gun which made easy work of removing the original CPU. I also took my time and didn't rush it. I didn't want to cut the legs because it was a perfectly good 6809E CPU and I wanted to save it.
