It's just dried sugarcane and God's given us so much goodness in the sugar cane that when you just dry it instead of processing it like the industry does, you get all the vitamins and minerals that God intended. 2. Honey Some recipes in my Healthy Treasures Cookbook work well with substituting out honey, and others don't. It depends on the consistency of the recipe. How to substitute honey for sugar depends on If they needed a dry ingredient or a liquid ingredient, or when I'm making bread, I could use either Sucanat or honey. If I'm making pancakes or muffins, either would be easy. It would be just as excellent cakes are different because of the liquid versus dry.
