Related to his research interests, Dr. King has disseminated several national presentations and scholarly works related to the cannabis implications for patients undergoing anesthesia, with special interests also in the social stigmatization of cannabis in healthcare. His leadership roles in the field of anesthesiology include multiple prior elected and appointed positions, and previous service as Chief Nurse Anesthetist for Steward Medical Group. Currently, he is Chair of Professional Practice at the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology and he is a Certified Professional in Patient Safety.
