2025 UK trip part II of II: Rotterdam (EHRD) to Norwich (EGSH)

The best trips of the year these! A beautiful flight under great weather conditions from Rotterdam (EHRD) to clear customs, for a visit to Norwich (EGSH). I flew together with my oldest daughter, who is starting to take interest in flying too. We took the very capable DA40NG for this flight. We made arrangements with Saxon Air to be our handling agent. The paperwork for the UK flight was filed through GenDec.eu, and that worked fine. This was flight was done on the last weekend before the ETA came into effect. Now you need a visa to travel to the UK from Europe. Sadly, the last 15 minutes the plug from my audio cable died so there is no CVR for the last 15 minutes of the flight. Editing these video's confronts me with my sometimes awkward performance on the radio. Calls that sound perfectly clear and logical are read back wrong, or not fully. it's a sign that much of my mental capacity is being used, I must not forget that flying for me is not an everyday bikeride to work and needs to be practiced. I also need to touch my face and pick my nose less... :-) For the route to Norwich I filed EHRD SOMEL2B ABNED L980 XAMAN IDESI BANEM EGSH Intro and recap 0:00 Taxi & departure 0:50 Cruise 6:05 Descent, approach and landing 11:45 When I don't fly the DA40NG, I rent the PH-VTB, a well kept C172 G1000 as a member of Vliegclub Teuge (https://www.motorvliegclubteuge.nl/) and I enjoy flying a mix of VFR and IFR flights to a variety of destinations within an hour or three flying from my homebase Teuge in The Netherlands (EHTE). For filming I use GoPro 4's (1080, 60 fps wide lens setting), a DJI Spark drone and an iPhone 12. I edit with Adobe Premiere Pro and use epidemicsound.com for the music. On a legal note: this video was edited and has no purpose other then to entertain and maybe promote general aviation.
