Available across a wide range of sizes and pressure ratings, the versatile TMCBV is used as a throttling or pressure-control valve. It’s found in gas and liquid pipelines; oil and gas production and processing; power plant cooling systems; urea and ammonia production in fertilizer plants; and other challenging applications. The TMCBV features an independent stem and ball connection, which translates into higher process stability. Tight tolerances between the stem-to-ball and stem-to-actuator connections ensure precise control while minimizing the effect of side thrust through the ball. The TMCBV was designed with specialized trims to take on the unique challenges of gas and liquid applications, such as noise attenuation and cavitation control. The noise-reduction trims eliminate control valve noise by managing gaseous pressure reductions, and controlling any turbulence carried into the downstream piping. The cavitation control trims accommodate different flow capacities to effectively isolate or eliminate cavitation. The TMCBV is operated by Limitorque® heavy-duty, double-acting or spring-return, pneumatic or electro-hydraulic actuators, using a high-performance digital positioner. This provides high positioning accuracy, repeatability, controlled high speeds, and reliable response in operation. The TMCBV meets all key size and certification specifications. The valve is available in sizes from 2 to 48 inches, and in ANSI pressure classes from 150 to 2,500. It meets all the standards for API 6D, ASME B16.34, API 6FA, API 607, ISO 10497, ISO 15848 for fugitive emissions, SIL 3, P.E.D, TRCU and CRN.
