This video explains the third method of leak testing the gravity pipe as per EN 1610. This method is similar to the previous one in term of filling the test area by water through the pipe plug using the bypass connection. However, fixing the air hose to keep it vertical is how the pipeline is pressurized in this method. Pipe Plug and Pipe Test plug are the two main devices for this test. Also air discharge adaptor is playing a key role to get correct test results by releasing the compressed air in the test area. The pipe plugs provide excellent sealing against the back pressure created in the test area.
