SOUNDBITE (Russian) Borislav Milosevic, Slobodan Milosevic's elder brother and former Yugoslav Ambassador to Russia "I hope this trial will fail. I do not believe in him (Slobodan) being acquitted because I don't trust that court at all. The people in charge of the so-called (UN) tribunal are there to convict him, to hand over a sentence to Slobodan Milosevic simply to save their real masters from scrutiny." 9. Cutaway Moscow streets 10. SOUNDBITE (Russian) Borislav Milosevic, Slobodan Milosevic's elder brother and former Yugoslav Ambassador to Russia "When it comes to allegations against him - they are simply absurd. Ten years after things happen, he is being accused of something that never were. The Kosovo part of them is not supported by any evidence, have no grounds whatsoever. Even less so the Bosnian part where Slobodan Milosevic was pursuing the peace." 11. Various of demo outside the U.S. Embassy 12. Woman holding a portrait of Milosevic STORYLINE: Several dozen hard-core communists and nationalists staged a demo outside the US Embassy in Moscow on Tuesday to protest what they describe as the "unfair and unlawful trial" of Slobodan Milosevic that has started in the Hague. Protesters accused the American government in meddling in other countries' affairs and demanded an immediate release of Milosevic from prison. Meanwhile, Milosevic's brother said the charges against the former Yugoslav ruler were trumped up and expressed hope that the trial will fail. Speaking in Moscow on Tuesday, Borislav Milosevic, former Yugoslav ambassador to Russia, said his brother would also protest against the court, which he doesn't recognise as legitimate. Borislav Milosevic said the court was "concocted" with the purpose of convicting his brother. He said certain world leaders were seeking his conviction to justify their bombing of Yugoslavia during the Kosovo crisis in 1999. Defending his brother's actions in Kosovo, Borislav Milosevic said the Serb forces were fighting groups which were linked to international terrorism, including Osama bin Laden's Al-Qaida network. He described Slobodan's actions in Bosnia as "pursuit for peace" Find out more about AP Archive: http://www.aparchive.com/HowWeWork Twitter: / ap_archive Facebook: / aparchives Instagram: / apnews You can license this story through AP Archive: http://www.aparchive.com/metadata/you...
