What You Need to Know Before Camping at Wilcox Campground? Jasper National Park We continue our National Park campground series at the Wilcox Campground which is perfectly placed at the border of Jasper & Banff National Parks and offers a secluded camping experience along the beautiful Icefields Parkway. Down the road from the world-renowned Columbia Icefield, this campground puts you on the doorstep of some of the most spectacular scenery on the planet. Sitting at the base of one of Jasper's premiere day hikes, with which it shares its name, Wilcox Campground offers access to a variety of family friendly amenities and day trips. This video showcases the entire campground, its multiplte cooking shelters, amenities, 46 unserviced sites with fire pits. The campground usually opens in middle of June and closes down for the season in middle of September with all the campsites being available on a first come, first served basis and best suited for motorhomes and trailers under 27 feet. It's the ideal location to set up basecamp while exploring the icefields and all the amazing activities it has to offer - hiking, climbing, sightseeing, skywalk, and glacier walks.
