On 22.09.2022 at about 3.10 PM, an information was received in PS Seelampur from LNJP Hospital that a boy aged about 10 Years has been admitted on account of physical assault that was happened three days back. Immediately, Police team reached at the hospital, met with the parents of the child, but they refused to give statement. The child was under medical observation. The family did not give statement till 24.09.2022 while the IO, to whom call was marked contacted them regularly. On 24.09,22, a counsellor from “Sakhi” was arranged by the police and counselling of mother of the injured child was done. On extensive counselling, mother of the child disclosed that three days back i.e., on 18.09.22, her son “A” was physically assaulted and sodomized by his three (03) friends. On her statement, a case vide FIR No. 453/22 dated 24.09.2022 u/s 377/34 IPC read with 6 POCSO Act was registered and investigation was taken up. During investigation, it emerged that victim and the alleged boys are neighbours & friends and they are of same age category 10-12 Years. One of the alleged is in relation (cousin) to the victim child. Also, they are from same community i.e., Muslims and residents of New Seelampur Jhuggis. One child “R” has been apprehended and produced before JJB. While efforts are on to apprehend remaining two JCLs. Victim “A” is still under medical observation.
