In today’s video, I’m colouring two pages of my horror comic — but this one is a little more personal. I recently had an unexpected health scare that forced me to slow down. I had to cancel work travel, workshops, and plans… and as someone who hates letting people down, that was really hard. But nothing fell apart. The world didn’t end. And it taught me something important about rest, boundaries, and what real self-care looks like. Self-care isn’t just face masks and bubble baths — sometimes it’s making difficult choices, listening to your body, and protecting the energy you do have. Slowing down has actually helped me reconnect with my creativity, my comic, and myself. So while I paint these pages, I wanted to share a little of what I’ve learned. If you’re rebuilding your energy or creativity right now, I hope this gives you a moment of calm. How do you take care of yourself creatively? I’d love to hear in the comments. 🖤 Subscribe for more comics, art process videos, and honest creative reflections. 🎨 Watch my inking video here: • Ink With Me: Finishing My First Short Comi...
