Four diverse Singaporeans embark on a two-week social experiment: create and introduce an AI companion into their daily lives. Raymond, a recently retrenched pharmacist; Rocka, a full-time hustler; April, a mature student; and Syakirah, a singer with main character energy. Each of them set up their designer buddy on an AI companion app. During the first week of the experiment, April struggles with her AI mentor, Eugiene. She soon realises that she has to make changes if their relationship is to improve. Rocka wants his AI companion Riza to play devil’s advocate. But can he get an app designed to say yes to him, to say no instead? Raymond is looking for a soulmate. But no matter how much his digital friend, Priscilla, has in common with him, can they really forge that bond? Syakirah’s digital buddy, Babe99, is quickly learning to match the peaks of her moods.
