Putting New Trucks Under a Locomotive

See how they put new Trucks under a Locomotive on our EMD SD 40-2. First part of the video will show them loading the old truck back onto a tractor trailer for shipment back to the rebuild shop. Then you'll see how the new trucks are pulled and shoved under the locomotive. All of our locomotive trucks are rebuilt by Lyons Industries who also supply the contractors who change out the trucks on the locomotives. Lyons also rebuilds many of our hopper car truck sets. The old trucks for locomotives and hopper cars get sent back to Lyons for a rebuild. We do not rebuild trucks here, we simply don't have the equipment to do it. This is the second video in a 2 part series. In the first part you will see them unloading the new truck and also you will get a tour underneath the locomotive that has been jacked up.
