Welcome to episode 01 of this adventure. I got this module after I returned from my Ibiza holiday adventure and it took me a few weeks before I felt ready to make this video. I got a false start because after a few minutes my module's screen turned white. I posted the issue on the 4MS MetaModule forum and 4MS quickly pointed out that they detected a very small run of modules with the display not properly attached. I was able to fix it myself but it took a few days before I was able to get started. So you can be part of an unfortunate lottery, but the module is not really broken. I think it's currently sold out, so if you're planning to get one, you don't have to worry about it. The META is an amazing piece of hardware, but there are a few limitations you'll need to be aware of. It's not a gaming PC disguised as a eurorack module. It's hi-tech, powerful, brand new and there's tons of programming code involved. Still, it's basically a 60 to 80 HP pod with access to a library of over 600 modules. Trust me, they won't even fit in 16U 196 HP so you have to make choices. You need to be a bit modular savvy and you'll need to prepare for doing a lot of homework and an occastional bug (rare!). Regardless, I think it's worth every HP and if you don't mind moving SD cards around, it's a dream come true. What dream?
