A daffodil bulb is a complete package, says Will Ashburner - it contains flowers, leaves all ready to grow as soon as you plant it in the ground, whether you’re an experienced gardener or a novice. Nothing says spring like a daffodil, agrees his wife, Christine Ashburner. Subscribe 🔔 http://ab.co/GA-subscribe Christine and Will run a daffodil farm in the Dandenong Ranges east of Melbourne. The business was established by daffodil breeder Harry Brown in 1917, bought in 1946 by Norman and Beryl Hancock, and sold to the Ashburners in 2000. The land sits on either side of a creek on the edge of mountain-ash rainforest, with a high rainfall of 1200mm a year deep, rich mountain soil. Daffodils love water, says Will. 🍃Featured plants: 🌿 Trumpet Daffodil (Narcissus cv.)
