Conquering Mount Washington on a Harley Davidson: A Bucket List Motorcycle Ride

We rode our Harley Davidsons up the Mount Washington Auto Road, a bucket list ride for any motorcycle adventurist. Located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire this peak climbs to over 6000 feet. The Mt. Washington Auto Road dubbed "The Road to the Sky" is a steep, narrow mountain road without guardrails which soars high above the tree-line. The average incline is 12% but it can reach as much as 22% in some areas. We took this motorcycle ride on June 12, 2023, the Mt. Washington Auto Road received plowable snowfall the day before. We are from New Hampshire and it is not uncommon for the mountains to see snowfall in June at the highest of elevations of our state. You may experience all four seasons during your ride of the Mount Washington so make sure you are prepared, even during the summer months. On a clear day from the summit of Mount Washington, you can see over 100 miles away. This includes the Atlantic Ocean, Quebec, and parts of New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, and Maine. On this particular day New Hampshire was seeing the effects of Canadian wildfires to the North limiting overall visibility.
