Growing up in Sweden ABBA has always been present. They were that kind of band that made it big both home and abroad. When I was a kid I liked them but when I was growing older and more into rock music I thought that ABBA was soft and to Swedish. But then, when I really started listening to them again I was hooked. Their songs, arrangements and performances is just amazing. One of the thing that amazes me most about ABBA is their bass player Rutger Gunnarsson. He really had his own unique style when it came to play bass. Sometimes it is really hard to play his lines. This one is not as easy as it seems but there are some that are much harder to play and memorize. Besides being a great bass player Rutger also worked as an arranger and producer for various bands and protects in Sweden before his early passing on April 30 2015 at the age of 69.
