It’s the second largest island of the inner Hebrides laying off the west coast of Scotland. It’s an easy 45 minute ferry journey from beautiful Oban; reservations recommended. Fay - It’s always worth wrapping up warm just in case, a very apt saying I have heard is if you don’t like the weather in Scotland wait 5 minutes, it’s likely to change. It’s very true! Fay - Nothing beats the joy of the sun coming out! We hit lucky in Tobermory. Dan - It’s a pretty town, the brightly coloured houses cheering up any dreary day. We found the chocolate shop and bakery, but have since heard there is a distillery and cheese makers on the island as well as weavers, a museum, the odd castle and lots of nature to spot, so plenty for a few days or a return visit. Dan - The sausage rolls we bought were delicious; we mysteriously lost the film we took sampling them. Fay - The chocolates were really lovely, some very traditional flavours revisited. There is a website you can order from to treat yourself at home. Fay - We tried to visit the mull standing stones but didn’t make it! We did get stuck and ended up with me hanging out the window as Dan reversed, relying on me telling him I could see the track, but truth is I couldn’t but it was go and risk overturning or sitting stuck. Dumb Luck was on our side and we got out. Dan - Beautiful Calgary beach is a highlight of Mull; on a less windy day it’s lovely for a swim, apparently! Dan - We were still a little obsessed with hunting for hairy coos; be sure to check out our hairy coo vlog! Fay - We were delighted to stumble across this beautiful waterfall.
