Welcome to the Lake Cumberland Amateur Radio Association Club's YouTube Channel. Here is the script we use at LCARA for running the Simplex Net: "CQ, CQ, CQ this is KY4BDP for the Lake Cumberland Amateur Radio Association Simplex Net. We hold this Net each Sunday after the regular repeater based Net using the frequency of 146.880. The objective of this Net is to practice radio to radio communications without the aid of a repeater. We will need the help of participants to relay other further away stations or stations that cannot hear Net Control. This is a directed Net and your Net Control is KY4BDP. My Name is Brian and I'm in Somerset, KY. Our goal with the Simplex Net is to have at least 10 check-ins reaching further out in the Lake Cumberland listening area. So let's begin tonight's Simplex Net with a call for those stations that can hear Net Control please call KY4BDP Now. Stations Heard by Net Control We'll close the net with XX check-ins. I want to thank all stations that helped with tonight's Net and helped relay other stations that could not hear Net Control.
