The 12v battery in an electric vehicle can cause the vehicle to become inoperable if it fails. If you are having strange electrical issues or error codes on the vehicle the first thing you should do is check the condition of the 12v battery to rule it out as a cause. In an electric vehicle a failing battery can be harder to detect because your not loading the battery heavily by cranking the engine as you would in an ICE vehicle. In an ICE vehicle a weak battery is more evident by observing the cranking behavior of the vehicle.
