There’s been a huge rise in “HobbyTok” recently — and it’s not just people sharing the things that bring them joy anymore. Between walls of markers and colouring books, mountains of yarn, endless craft hauls, and the pressure to constantly pick up new activities, hobbies are starting to feel less like simple pastimes… and more like another excuse to overconsume. In today’s video, I want to sit down and unpack that a little. Why have hobbies become so consumption-heavy? Have they always been this way? And is there a way for us to approach the things we love doing in a more conscious, intentional way? As always, I love hearing your thoughts and perspectives, so feel free to share them in the comments below — respectfully and kindly. I’m really curious to know how you all feel about this. 👍 Like the video 💬 Comment — do you agree?
