In 1974, the walls were closing in on British MP John Stonehouse, who was facing financial investigation, was having an affair with his secretary, and had become addicted to the stuff from The Wolf of Wall Street. To solve his problems, he chose to go with the simplest option in front of him: faking his own death and fleeing the country. And he actually did a pretty good job orchestrating the whole thing, staging his own drowning in Miami. Soon enough, John Stonehouse was living in Australia with two fake identities, while his wife and kids mourned him in England and his secretary prepared to run away with him. But unfortunately for John, his new life did not last. I mean, obviously it didn't. If he had gotten away with it, this video couldn't possibly exist. Unless I was John Stonehouse and this was my confession, of course...
