The BJP has released a revised list of candidates for the first phase of the elections. Initially, the party had announced the names of 44 candidates across all phases but withdrew the list due to dissatisfaction among senior leaders. The new list includes only 15 candidates for the first phase in Jammu and Kashmir. The last date for filing nominations is 27th August.
