0ur Italian journey continues — and this time, we ventured off the beaten track into the Abruzzo mountains to discover the charming village of Capistrello, just a short bus ride from our temporary base in Avezzano. On arrival, we simply strolled, soaked up the atmosphere, and let the village reveal itself at its own unhurried pace — as the best Italian villages always do. Capistrello sits nestled in the mountains of Abruzzo, surrounded by landscapes that feel a world away from the usual tourist trail.
