MIMUROTO JI (JI or JINJA - is translated as TEMPLE) specifically is very important for Japanese as this Temple was established by Emperor Konin, and that the thousand armed kannon who showed to the Emperor as a vision and that since then they enshrined the Statue in this Temple. This Temple is also significant to Japanese Political History struggle (civil wars) between the Shogunates and warlords. This modern days though this temple is also known as the flower temple or Hydrangea (AJISAI) Temple.
