Today is Nelson Mandela Day. I believe in the neuroplasticity of the brain and so I am attempting to memorise remarkable passages and quotations (verses from the Bible too). This is a hyphenation of some excerpts from the book: The 5 AM Club by Sharma. What made me start this remarkable journey - of hyphenating these thoughts presented in an allegorical conversation in the book? It was the following three excerpts: As Archbishop Desmond Tutu taught us, ‘suffering can either embitter us or ennoble us.’ “Nelson Mandela wrote, ‘As I walked out the door toward the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn’t leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I’d still be in prison.’” “He also said that ‘to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others,’” the guide added. “And that ‘no one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.’” Let me stop there before I give it away … I Hope that you will listen carefully to this solemn rendition of the written text of a man who has become an Epitome of Leadership. Please feel free to comment and share.
