Terra Alta - A story of interbeing

A story of interbeing. A space to unwind and reconnect with what matters most - living simply in community and in nature. When I set off to Portugal to document some recent experiences I had quite a different idea of what the creative outcome would be. But I was quick to let that go and let inspiration guide me, moment to moment….and just see what unfolds. I was soon to discover that what really captivated me was a story of us, the people and the potential for authentic expression in nature. To showcase the beauty of humanity through our diversity, our gifts and the magic that happens when 35 strangers get together to learn and grow. As kids, we are often told to not talk to strangers. There’s a fear of sorts. A wall builds up within the confines of our existing insular community. Yet if there’s one thing I’ve learned from years of travel is that it’s through breaking down of those barriers that we really get to understand each other. To understand what unites us and what divides us. To find common ground in the simple things that run through the fabric of all cultures across our planet - shared meal time eating nutritious food, artistic expression and a more intimate connection with nature. So for me, this video is a celebration in acknowledging the power of what unites us.
