"Joint Gap" as an Indicator of Medial-Lateral Balance A horse’s hooves are structurally designed to accommodate movement on sloped or uneven surfaces without causing joint complications. The joints and ligaments possess adaptive capabilities that allow them to adjust effectively to varying gradients. In this experiment, even when significant medial-lateral imbalances are introduced, the resulting change in joint gap remains minimal and difficult to detect. This suggests that the current approach lacks sufficient sensitivity; ideally, it should be capable of detecting medial-lateral imbalances on the order of just a few degrees. This experiment was performed on horses which were barefoot, not ridden and under veterinary care. Pathological issues were ruled out. 🌟 Join Us and Learn 🌟 👉 Free Video Library Featuring Case Studies and More: / @eponamind 👉 All About the Epona Horses: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?... 👉 Learn more about how AI can help Equine & Small Animal: https://www.metronmind.com/ 👉 All about Equine & The Hoof: https://www.eponamind.com/ #Horses #Equinewellness #Farrier #Hoofcare #Reaserach #EquineCaseStudy #HoofRehab ------------- Equine Health, Comfort, and Performance EponaMind develops technology devoted to horse health and comfort.
