EXTENSIVE RANT COMING IN Grab your coffee or tea for this one. I know so many hearing care professionals feel the same way and vent in private forums, but I rarely see anyone speak out publicly. I might lose a friend with this post, but my focus is on patients, staff, and growing in our community. This is another reason why working with only one manufacturer is risky. Sometimes they rock, and sometimes they fall short. That is why we offer unlocked devices and the best options from all six leading manufacturers. Some brands brag about being the best of the best, but then they fall behind in other areas. It makes you question their whole public persona. I trust Oticon for their sound quality, but even they have areas to improve. No manufacturer is perfect. However, there is a difference when one acts like they are above the rest while others take a humble and supportive approach. The patient in this story came in for a follow-up after shooting this video. He is hearing well and even prefers the Bi cros system over his CI. Yet, he still mentioned how cumbersome the three-charger setup (with the accessory) is. We are labeling the chargers to make it easier and walked his family through everything so they can be his tech support. Honestly, it seems ridiculous and it is. Yes, we can get some multi charger chord with a USB Type A female port for the old charger and a Micro USB and USB C cable tool from amazon or something similar, but it still would feel clunky and not premium. End Rant. I should start a podcast or something.....
