Pakse 🇱🇦 to Ubon Ratchathani 🇹🇭 with minivan

In the previous video, we travelled from Ubon to Pakse with the international bus. The cost of ticket was THB200 with easy and hassle free journey experience travelling from Thailand to Laos on the road through the Chong Mek-Vang Tao border. The total journey took us approximately 3.50 hours including immigration clearance on both side of the borders. In this video, we travelled from Pakse in Laos Champasak province to Ubon Ratchathani with the minivan which is a much flexible travel and transport option between both countries not limited by the 2 trips per day as well as the restricted travel time with international bus. While the travel cost with minivan from Pakse to Ubon was slightly higher, you have more flexibility to check out the border market at Vang Tao and Chong Mek respectively as well as choice of travel time you prefer which was not limited by the international bus travel timetable. From Pakse, the minivan to the Vangtao border cost THB200, but the regular price was actually at THB100 with full passengers. Due to our trip without full passengers, the coat went up for them to cover the loss. So, be sure you travel earlier to avoid lack of passengers during the last trip. After crossings from Vangtao to Chong Mek, you can either take the tuk tuk from the border market to the boarding station for THB30 or walk to the station.
