This was recorded on 1/5/24 in Cave Creek, AZ, on Dan Delaney’s WONDERFUL Yamaha C3 Piano. 🇧🇷 On this particular night, I found myself immersed in the world of Bossa Nova, a genre that fuses jazz harmonies with traditional Brazilian rhythms. Bossa Nova, which literally means “new flair” in Portuguese, originated in the late 1950s and its most pivotal composer was Antonio Carlos Jobim. 🎹 When playing SOLO PIANO, you can choose to accentuate the Brazilian groove overtly or convey it subtly through orchestration, creating a subliminal effect and a more lyrical impact that resonates in a deeper way. This creates a fun challenge as the player, made all the more enjoyable with this remarkable instrument.
