Kansas Eagles 2-4-26. Raccoon Intruder Climbs Nest Tree; Harvey Flushes it, Protects Ellie & Eggs!

Harvey is in the roost tree (on the left, out of view). A raccoon climbs the nest tree, under the nest, seen starting at 00:10 on the left side of the trunk. Harvey can apparently see/hear the raccoon from his roost spot. He flies toward the nest tree (00:32), passes by, and lands on the right side roost branch. Ellie appears unaware of the raccoon, which has stopped moving under the nest. Harvey and Ellie react with defensive posture/wing flaps/vocals. when the raccoon starts moving again at 01:17. Harvey aggressively flaps and moves as close as he can to the underside of the nest where the raccoon is located. Ellie protects her clutch. The raccoon climbs down at 01:35. The remainder of the video is simply watching as Ellie settles. Great job, Harvey, spotting the raccoon and protecting your nest!
