Massive fire breaks out at EV parking near Jamia Nagar, New Delhi. Over 100 vehicles have been damaged in the fire. 80 e-rickshaws including 10 cars and a number of motorcycles, scooters were damaged. According to locals the fire broke ouT at the eto motor's parking at around 4 am. Videos circulating on social media aLso shows sigN board of eto motOr. however we could not confirm if the company's vehicle first caught the fire . Total of seven fire tenders reached the spot and the fire has been brought under control. The parking lot shares its boundary with the metro station. According to police, the area inside the Delhi Metro premises has been taken on lease by eto motor. It is being used as a parking lot and a charging station for e-rickshaws. An FIR under section 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) of IPC registered at Okhla metro police station . In Feb this year DMRC flagged off e-rickshaw services, operated by ETO Motors for last mile connectivity.
