My DJ buddy from waaay back with his Technics 1210's & his brand spanking new Union Audio 2 channel rotary valve mixer, which is truly a special piece of musical gear. I should think myself lucky to have got an extended session on it to mix together some soul melting house music in the warmest possible sounding way! Side note: if you’re here to look at the possibility of buying a rotary mixer- just do it! It’s so good and I’m thoroughly gear jealous! Sounds super crisp in the booth, the VU meters are a joy to behold and the mixing capabilities are superb. After around 4 hours of getting used the controls we were in our groove. I absolutely loved the option of a high pass filter to cut/drop the bass of incoming and outgoing tracks, the EQ is class and the volume fades just make you sound better as a DJ. You can peer through the grate vents into its fiery heart too. I hugged it at the end of the video. It just felt appropriate :) Oh my wee Gemini stuff feels… basic.
