Motion And Time in One Shot l NCERT Science Class 7 l Full Chapter l Examples l Explanation Motion and Time Motion and time are basic concepts in physics that help us understand how objects move and how long they take to move. Motion An object is said to be in motion if its position changes with respect to a fixed point or observer over time. Examples: A car moving on a road A boy walking to school The hands of a clock moving If an object does not change its position, it is said to be at rest. Types of Motion Rectilinear Motion – motion in a straight line Example: a train moving on a straight track Circular Motion – motion along a circular path Example: hands of a clock Periodic Motion – motion that repeats at equal intervals of time Example: a swinging pendulum Time Time is the duration or interval during which an event occurs or an object moves. It helps us measure how long an object takes to move from one place to another. Unit of time: second (s) Speed Speed tells us how fast an object is moving. Speed = Distance Time Speed= Time Distance Unit of speed: metres per second (m/s) or kilometres per hour (km/h) Importance of Motion and Time Helps measure distance and speed Useful in daily life (travel, sports, machines) Forms the basis of many laws of physics Your Queries:- Motion motion and time correlation time uses motion and its types Uniform and non uniform motion examples of motion #motion #motionandforce #motionandtime #timelapse #motions
