Good morning, friends! Happy Monday! Let's hope we've got an amazing week ahead of us. We're flying from Auckland to Whangarei in the awesome Asobo Studio Flight Design CTSL! The CTSL is a cool little ultralight. There's no AP, so we're hand flying today, and it's not too bad keeping this little guy on track. It does seem super weird on the ground, though. The wheels really get stuck anytime you come to a stop on the ramp. You can open the throttle pretty far, and this lightweight aircraft will still not move easily. If you toggle the parking brake, you can get going again in a herky-jerky motion. It works, even if it's a little uncomfortable. Once we're flying, we'll get great views of Auckland. Our slow speed is great for checking out the sights, and I tried to pick a route that would take us near the heart of the city. Enjoy the scenery! Our approach into Whangarei doesn't offer the same views. We'll circle outside of the main city, but the approach into the airport is incredible. Have a great week, friends!
