Scales test:    • OK-81 scales test. So what are they m...   Sorry for the confusion, at first I believed that it was Al scales.. but after a few additional tests I'm leaning towards the Ti version. Of course, only a chemical analysis test would give a 100% specific and accurate result. But now I think that the scales are made of titanium, maybe cheaper one, but still.. 1. There were a lot of bright white sparks when grinding the scale, that's what Ti does. (Steel sparks are orange, Aluminium does not spark at all). I also felt that this metal is quite hard compared to Al. 2. Titanium "draws" on the glass. I.e. leave not a scratch, but a bright trace. These scales do the same. Steel would leave a noticeable scratch, Al- nothing. 3. Low thermal conductivity is a feature of Ti. For example, I heated one spot in a scale for a long time, the heat did not spread much further, I could hold it in my hand easily. When heating steel or Al, the entire surface heats up very quickly. 4. The damaged surface (eg after stonewashing) oxidizes. Although this is typical of both Ti and Aluminium.
