#DaNang is a coastal city in central #Vietnam, known for its sandy beaches and history as a French colonial port. It is a popular base for visiting the inland #BàNà hills to the west of the city. Further, this is also the base for #HộiAn (that place needs no introduction). The best attractions in Da Nang are a good mix of centuries-old pagodas, French colonial buildings, as well as tranquil beaches and verdant national parks. This picture postcard town makes for beautiful sunsets against a backdrop of lush mountains. What we personally liked about Da Nang was the city beach with modern amenities, parks, food shacks, broad streets and how the city lights up magically by night. A visit to the bridges and the ferris wheel is a must by night. We also loved exploring various eateries here. Below is a curated listed of our top 5. 1. We cycled down to #BaoAn Macrogreen Cafe - a vegan cafe right next to our Air BnB. The cafe right opposite to it was just as good! 2. #Pizza4P's Hoang Van Thu - one of the highest rated restaurants in Da Nang and why not! Ended up going to its branch in Saigon too. 3. Thia Go Danang-style (Thien Ly Danang-style) - for authentic Vietnamese food 4. Waterfront Restaurant and Bar - for amazing views while gulping down beer and snacks 5. Brilliant Seafood restaurant - restaurant with finger-licking food but make sure to make your reservations in advance Top travel tips for Da Nang: 1. Carry your Vietnamese cash at all times. 2. Look out for scooter rentals to explore Da Nang like a local. 3. There will be a host of luxurious resorts to choose from, but a bed and breakfast home by the beach is always better! 4. Look out for street joints by the beach - the night culture here is just awesome! 5. If you want to visit the other near getaways (refer our video), plan in advance.
