Vălenii de Munte is a town in Prahova County, southern Romania (the historical region of Wallachia), with a population of about 13,309. It lies on the Teleajen River valley, 28 kilometres (17 mi) north of the county seat of Ploiești. The town's sister cities are Eaubonne, Cimișlia, and Sarandë. DN1A is a National road in Romania which links Bucharest with Brasov.It represents an alternative route for DN1,being a mandatory route on this section for vehicles over 7.5 t.DN1A leave from Bucharest going to Ploiesti though Buftea.At Ploiesti,this road enters in the Western Bypass of this city,bypassing it on the South to East,climbing in the Teleajen Valley to Valenii de Munte and Cheia passing Carpathians though Bratocea step (1.263 m). Cheia is a mountain resort, 60 kilometers north of Ploieşti, Prahova county, Romania. Situated in the Teleajen Valley, it is surrounded by Ciucaş Mountain and Zăganu Mountain. Prejmer (German: Tartlau; Hungarian: Prázsmár) is a commune in Brașov County, Romania. It is composed of three villages: Lunca Câlnicului (Farkasvágó), Prejmer and Stupinii Prejmerului (Rohrau; Méheskert). Located 18 km northeast of Brașov, the Olt River passes through the commune. At the 2011 census, 90.7% of inhabitants were Romanians, 6.3% Roma, 1.9% Hungarians and 0.8% Germans.
