Opening a window into the rich immersive experiences of young Indian university students in Dharamshala, this travelogue documents the Foundation’s Annual Gurukul Programme. For 27 years, Gurukul has offered meaningful opportunities for Indian university students to reside in Dharamshala – the home of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Headquarter of the Central Tibetan Administration – to engage with Tibet’s rich civilization heritage, the life and teachings of the Dalai Lama, Tibetan Buddhism, and the life and history of the Tibetan community in exile. Dev Agarwal is an Indian cinematographer, best known for his work in the acclaimed Bollywood film, ‘Citylights’. He was nominated in the BON awards for Best Cinematography for his work in the international feature film, ‘Invasion 1897’. Dev has won two Foxglove Advertising Awards and his documentaries have been screened widely at film festivals.
